CRITICAL AND CREATIVE THINKING, TOGETHER WITH COLLABORATION, HAD BEEN identified as crucial competencies for the 21st century, which the project aimed to focus on. The rapidly changing world had necessitated new educational approaches and the acquisition of new skills and competencies. Therefore, the CCC training course had the following objectives:
– DEVELOPING critical thinking
– DEVELOPING creative thinking
– DEVELOPING collaboration
– ENRICHING the “toolkit” of youth workers and NGO volunteers with new methods applicable in various non-formal education activities.
To achieve the project’s objectives, a range of methods and tools had been utilized, including brainstorming, World Café, discussions, role plays, simulations, improvisation theatre, open space workshops, fairs, digitalized activities, and the development of a manual. Additionally, various reflection methods had been employed, among many others.
Upon completion of the project, the participants and partner organizations had received a digital toolkit providing an introduction to CCC skills and competencies. This toolkit served as a valuable resource for further application and development in their respective domains.
All the main themes of this project had something in common, which had formed a core part of our identity.
A long time ago, when a person had broken their bone, they would usually have died, just like other animals. However, at some point, someone had stayed and taken care of the other, thereby saving their life.
COLLABORATION
Collaboration had been what made us human. It had brought us closer together, creating new bonds.
